While I don't appreciate the merchants' "Happy Holidays" greeting while cashing in on Christmas, do you REALLY call this materialistic ploy a victory for Christmas? The real victory would be if Christians cut down their spending to a couple of meaningful gifts and brought back our Lord as the true focus. Christ came to save us from our sins, not to save us from our bad econony. Blessed and grace-filled advent.
